Over the last 4 years, Bosch East Africa’s Nairobi office has shown substantial growth in the Building Services sector based on its ability to deliver all the MEP services in-house. Projects include, Cedar Mall, Mugumo Gardens Office Block, RMA Office Block, the refurbishment and expansion of Nairobi Serena Hotel and numerous other office and apartment blocks, as well as hotel and medical facilities.
The team has also been very busy providing Electrical, Mechanical, HVAC and Project Management services to the Industrial Sector.
Based on the Bosch Holdings fully multi-disciplinary and multi-sectorial business model, it was only a matter of time before Civil and Structural Engineering Services would also be provided out of the Nairobi office.
Bosch East Africa supports a localisation strategy whereby local Kenyan resources are engaged in senior professional engineering positions wherever possible.
The recent appointment of Kung’u Githachuri means that Civil and Structural Engineering in the Buildings, Agricultural, Industrial and Water Sectors, are now also on offer as part of the basket of services.
The advantage is that effective co-ordination of all the services can be carried out “in house”, for example where internal plumbing and drainage is seamlessly integrated with the external water supply and drainage.
